It features a high-resolution 14 effective megapixel sensor, large 3.0-inch LCD monitor, high-performance 4X optical zoom lens and simple, user-friendly operation in a stylish and lightweight credit-card-sized body that’s compact enough to carry anywhere for every occasion.
- The Optio RS1000 features a removable transparent acrylic front panel. You can easily and totally change the camera’s appearance simply by setting a design sheet between the camera body and this panel. Use the designs included with the Optio RS1000 or create a one-of-the-kind original design using your own photographs, posters, or hand-drawn illustrations or patterns.
- Thanks to it’s 14 megapixel sensor, the Optio RS1000 delivers brilliant, high-quality images with well-defined details. Even when images are enlarged, you are assured of brilliant, high-resolution prints with edge-to-edge sharpness.
- The large, easy-to-view 3.0-inch LCD monitor with approximately 230,000 dots allows you to check composition and camera settings with just a quick glance.
- Wide-angle 4X optical zoom lens, covering focal lengths from approximately 27.5mm to 110mm (in the 35mm format) can easily handle a wide variety of subjects and scenes.
- The new-generation Auto Picture mode automatically selects the most appropriate shooting mode and optimizes various camera settings to assure beautiful and sharp pictures.
- Face Detection function automatically catches the subject's face in sharp focus and in optimum exposure. With Smile Capture, you can program the Optio RS1000 to automatically release the shutter when the subject’s face turns straight toward the camera and smiles.
- Capture beautiful, high-definition-TV-quality movie clips (1280 x 720 pixels). During movie recording, the sophisticated Movie SR (Shake Reduction) mode helps prevents blurry images by digitally minimizing camera shake.
- The Optio RS1000 offers nine different digital filters, including Fish-Eye, Toy Camera, Retro and Sepia, to add various visual effects to recorded images without requiring a computer. You can even apply multiple filters to a single image for more inventive visual effects.
- Digital Blur Removal function effectively compensates for camera shake during still-image shooting.
- User-friendly Green mode automatically selects the optimum combination of exposure settings, ISO sensitivity and other factors for a given subject or scene.
